The first generation of Corvette (1953 - 1962) started the passion that is today stronger than ever.  These models are very sought after and, as the saying goes "they don't make them anymore", they are becoming an icon of a long by-gone era where automotive art met exuberance and performance.

Our offering today is a fine example of a 1959 Convertible that has all the classic appeal and lots of modern upgrades.  It comes from a family that took care of it for the better part of the last 20 years.  To start it feature a very-nice-to-excellent paint job in Snowcrest White with the correct Black coves matching the Black interior.  Chrome looks very nice with no pitting or rust.  The matching hardtop is also restored and fits at it should.  The soft top is present, in serviceable conditio, but it exibits wear and will eventually may need replaced.  

Interior is the correct Black of the era, all appearing fresh and in very good condition from the seat covers, to the carpet, dash and door panels.  The instruments and gauges are functional as seen the the video.

Engine is a later model 350 Chevrolet, dual carbureted and appears to have a mild-cam.  It exhibits adequate power, possibly over 300 HP.  It is cooled by a large capacity aluminum radiator and with thermostat controlled electric fan, and breathes out through a set of powder coated headers and a great sounding exhaust.  All in all, a very reliable and powerful combination. Undercarriage is very clean with no signs of rust and with fresh bushings and rubber parts. 

This a great choice for someone wanting to enjoy a classic that is all done, has great appeal, also has a reliable and more modern powertrain.  For the money, it would be hard to duplicate a similar car and it seems it is always a good idea to get an already done Vette, than building one.
