We are pleased to bring to your attention a rare example of one of the earliest Corvettes, the actual first model year featuring a V8, proudly marked in the side emblems with a larger "V".  

According to seller, it features the correct 265 engine mated with the manual 3-speed transmission.   It sustained an off-frame restoration some time ago and is in very good mechanical shape.  Engine runs smooth, transmission shifts as it should, all appears in working order: brakes are functional with a little adjustment needed, also front end alignment.  Cosmetically, it is all there with a few minor items needing attention like door alignment, hood and trunk.  Chrome is complete, and could use polish, soft top frame needs restored and a new canvas top.  

Only 120 out of 700 Vettes in 1955 were painted in Harvest Gold making it quite rare. Manual transmission was also not too common and apparently about 10% of production received this option.

Price guides are suggesting retail values of $143000 for a #2 car and $109000 for a #3 condition, so this Vette is positioned very well as a great value with significant equity and appreciation potential.
