Vehicle Description:

Welcome to THE VETTE NET, the most experienced online Corvette broker service (founded in 1998). Whether you are buying or selling a Vette, we offer you our extensive knowledge and commitment to help make your transaction pleasant and professional. The Vette Net is a proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum.

Our offer today is one fine example of a by-gone era when displacement ruled: 1971 Convertible with the monster 454 engine, LS5 rated (conservatively) at 365 HP. It features the matching numbers engine with the proper VIN and suffix CPH on the engine pad. It appears that this is a "Day 2 Car", that is back in the day, shortly after taking delivery, it was customary to add a few cosmetic and performance upgrades.  Accordingly, this Vette was upgraded towards the famous 68-69 L88, featuring: 1967 L88 Aluminum intake (a very valuable vintage part), 68-69 L88 hood with the correct filter chamber embedded creating functional cold air cowl induction.  It also has a 650 CFM Holley double pumper carburetor (6106) with the foam filter tray reserved for the 68-69 L88 engines.  It is likely that with all these upgrades the output may reach close the LS6 level - 425HP, but there is no dyno on it. The engine compartment is quite well preserved and it appears to feature the original Frigidaire compressor and the original "308" master brake cylinder.  Yes, it is a Big Block with AC! (all there, but not connected).

Other options include Power Steering, Power Brakes, Deluxe leather interior, 4-speed manual transmission, Hard Top, side pipes, etc.

Car has been hibernating for quite a while and is now ready for the show and road.  Vacuum operated headlights and wiper door work, gauges work (except oil pressure at time of print, but working on it), all in all, a testament to a by-gone era, all the while a civilized ride with great potential.

It comes to you from a private collection in FLORIDA and is ready for your viewing by appointment.
