Deck stamp reads F0228DG which signifies that it was built by the Flint plant (F), the second month (02), the 28th day and suffix DG is correct for the 283/230 application with automatic transmission. At the present time, car is fitted with a non-original 4-speed transmission, though. Rear end is also upgraded to a 3.36. Car is in great condition having sustained a complete off-frame restoration in 1991, being driven only 67K miles since. Mechanically, it is very sound with everything being in perfect working order. Panama Yellow with the Charcoal interior has to be one of the most beautiful Corvette color combinations offered in 1958. You don’t see this color very often and it certainly grabs your attention when you do. The owner acquired this Corvette in 1985. He states it is a very original Corvette including the engine. The Vette was in need of a complete restoration and he took almost three years to do it. The frame off restoration was completed in 2009. It looks just as fresh today due to the fact this Vette has only been driven a few hundred miles. Everything was restored – paint, interior, chrome, mechanicals, all the electrical, brakes, suspension, exhaust—EVERYTHING. A lot of money was invested in this restoration. All the numbers and codes are correct. The goal was to make this Panama Yellow Vette one of the very best in the nation. The owner says this Corvette is ready for Bloomington judging. Lift the hood and you will see the 245HP dual four-barrel engine. It is mated to a 4-speed Muncie. The engine and transmission were rebuilt during the restoration. Look closely and note that every detail is correct for the year and engine option. The chassis is very solid with no evidence of repair or rust damage. All the body panels are also factory original with no evidence of being in an accident. In 1958, you did not have a very large option list. The frame and all its components are as nice as the body and interior and very fitting for a show car. The stunning Pearl White paint has to be viewed in person to fully experience its beauty. Following the meticulous prep of the body (including the underside), three coats of PPG DBU base coat was sprayed as the first layer. Next three coats of Pearl White were applied followed by three coats of clear. Cadillac red was the color selected for the side coves, engine and chassis. Add to that ample use of chrome and 24k gold plating and the result is one spectacular 1961 Corvette show car. The 355ci Chevy engine will output near 500 horsepower when the nitrous is activated. Check out those Predator dual fours sitting on top of the Edelbrock manifold. Of course, the 4-speed tranny just adds to the fun factor when and if you decide to take a ride. The interior was fully restored including the gauges. You’ll note the seats are not the original style but sure look more comfortable. Corvette started its life in Canada as a Canadian delivery model. The only difference is the odometer being in Kilometers. In 1993 the original owner moved to FL and car was titled in the US. Car was sold via THE VETTE NET in 2005 to the second owner with 47K miles (76000 Km). Check out the last six pics from the gallery for 2005 pictures. Second owner from Orlando FL installed new brake rotors, cruise control, speedomeeter cable, etc to the tune of $2006.50. The third owner in Tampa FL continued to enjoy the car and realizing it was very original and by only adding new wheels and centercaps, he was able to get a very prestigious award, NCRS Second Flight in January 2008 scoring 88.1% . Well, Second Flight was not enough. Lots of upgrades were done in order to increase the points and progress to the Top Flight status of 94% totaling over $3500: new AC compressor and parts, used stock air cleaner sand blasted, and powder coated to original condition, duct assembly and all the little stuff required for NCRS points: new carpet, insulation, floormats, seat backs, parking brake cover, new antenna & cable (radio works fine now without the booster). All the plastic headliner parts have been removed and dyed back to original Saffron (Mahogany). Repainted valve covers and replaced all worn out stickers under the hood and in storage compartment. Recently, new T-top pads were added. As mentioned above, car is fully documented, original brochure, paperwork, key knock-offs are available. Color is a rare and stunning Mahogany (only 2121/40274 made) with the matching Mahogany Leather. Condition is excellent and with a NCRS award it will make a great addition to a private collection, a proud daily driver also with appreciation potential. Celebrating multiple wins at LeMans in France and the end of a very successful fifth generation of Corvettes, Chevrolet launched a special series of only 2025 Z06s. This is car #1182 out of 2025 ever produced. We are pleased to offer a great value: 1979 Yellow Coupe with only 91K miles and two documented owners. Present owner had since 1986 and 42K and meticulously took care of it. It comes adorned with a stunning newer repaint (in 1997) which was professionally redone by stripping down to gel coat and fixing all the bodywork, the applying DuPont Chrome One paint. It still retains 95% of its condition. Interior still retains the original door and dash panels, but has benefited from new seat covers in 1991. Engine is the matching numbers one that came with the car, all original except for camshaft. The Automatic transmission TH350 is also original. Engine and transmission perform as it should with no sign of wear or hesitation. It is equipped with AC (complete, but not functional now), power windows, power steering, glass tops, factory Pace Car spoilers. Mechanically, car suffered lots of upgrades: SS-lined, brake calipers, SS park brake hardware. composite rear leaf spring. Mild engine rebuild due to flat lobe on cam in August 2004 (86K miles): heads removed, valve job, bronze valve guides, new cams/lifters, roller-tip rockers arms... All new gaskets, belts, hoses, vacuum lines, etc. New DeWitts Aluminum radiator with electric fan in August 2004. Factory transmission was rebuilt Jan 1995. Heater core was replaced Sept. 1996 (76K miles). Items that need attention are the AC, cruise control, front carpet and dash clock. Tires are GoodYear Wingfoot 245/60R 15 on OEM Aluminum Wheels. Has Monza mufflers and 80/81 style tail lamps. Car was originally delivered in TX where the actual owner bought in 1986 with 42K miles. It was since then garaged properly and not driven in inclement weather. The driver side door was damaged in an accident back in 1986 and was replaced properly. In 1994 during suspension/bushings rebuild, it was discovered that the car had apparently been hit in the left front and frame was affected. New front coil springs, poly bushings up front, 300 lb fiber spring in rear. new half shafts,new U joints,new ring & pinion w/355 posi-track, new gas tank, new Big block radiator. Brakes are completely done: all new calipers w/ stainless pistons, new pads, new rotors,new master cylinder, new steel brake lines, Completed in 2010. All new steering system. Power comes from a 383ci Crate motor from GM with 425 hp. New Tremec 5 speed (TKO 600) with a tall 1st gear of 2.87:1 and 0.64:1 in the 5th. Modern power steering and power brakes. A/C with Sanden compressor. Battery moved to storage compartment behind passenger seat. Two new speakers installed in both front kick panels. Tilt steering wheel. All paint was removed down to bare fiberglass. Bonding strips were looked at very close. Left front was re-bonded. All cracks fixed and fiberglass sealed. Approximately 5 coates of Base and 3 or 4 coates of clear were put on this piece of art. Has Big Block hood with Red stinger. Interior is all brand new with Al Knoch, carpet, leather seat covers... also Dyna-mat, sound deadening from front to rear. Complete documentation of the restoration is available. Car was initially Lyndale Blue 350/350 AC, 4 speed. All in all, this car is brand new and, obviously handles better than a stock car. Before you read about the details of the engine build, you should know this Corvette was built for both speed and general cruising. The Vette averages over 20mpg on the highway and runs a high 10-second quarter mile. The throttle body is a 52mm from Edlebrock. The LT4 intake was ported and gasket matched. Sitting on top of the block is the beautiful Vortech V-1 Supercharger with a 2.87/6-rib pulley and the air intake tube modified by Blower Works. Intercooling is Blower Works Gaseous 50% methanol 10gph jet. TPIS long tube headers connect to a 3 inch exhaust with X pipe and Dynaflow mufflers delivering a very authoritative sound. The automatic transmission is a 4L60E PTS system by Level 10. The differential is a Dana 44 with 3.54 ratio. Bilstein Z51 gas shocks and upgraded rear spring take care of the suspension duties. Second owner got it in May 17, 1979 with 3520 miles and had it ever since. Car was last registered in 1996 and stored properly since. Miles show 21K which are very likely the correct miles on the car, considering its history and condition. THE VETTE NET - Nationwide Corvette Brokerage Network, proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum is pleased to offer a very special 1962 Corvette which sustained a thorough documented NCRS-style off-frame restoration. A little background: 1962 marked the last year of the straight axle Corvettes, later dubbed as the the C1, first generation Corvette. It was the first year when the 283 engine was replaced by the 327, seat belts became standard, last year of exposed headlights and external opening trunk, also last of the side coves. A total of 14531 were produced. This particular model is serial # 1390 and is equipped with the 327/340 engine, described as original matching numbers coupled with the T-10 4 speed manual transmission. In 1995 it sustained a frame/body off restoration with every detail being addressed and being returned to like new condition. Complete documentation and pictures of the restoration are available. Most components were either restored or are factory correct including T-10 tranny, positraction, aluminized exhaust, washer system, jack, jack tools, taillight cones, T-3 headlights, guide Y-50 mirror, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, generator. According to the seller, restoration photos show an un-hit body which was completely disassembled and put back together. The original 327/340 engine was rebuilt during the restoration, new brakes, cylinders, rebuilt master cylinder in June 2009, new steering box, etc. It was maintained properly with oil and lube every 6 months.
